Recently, UGOOS announced changes in the upcoming new firmware v.1.1.3 for all families of TV Boxes based on S905X4 SoC. More specifically, the firmware applies to Ugoos AM7, Ugoos X4Q, and X4 families.
UGOOS, a brand that has a large portfolio of Android TV Boxes, takes care of updating the firmware of its devices. Not only the latest X4Q series powered by S905X4 SoC will receive an update but also older models. As a reminder, the Amlogic S905X4 SoC can be found in the UGOOS AM7 and X4 family of TV Boxes. BTW, the new X4Q series of TV Boxes are now available for purchase. Below are the changes of the upcoming firmware v.1.13.
What changes can we find in the new firmware v.1.1.3 for Ugoos AM7, Ugoos X4Q, and X4 Families

- Added forced display orientation policy
- Added setting of power on from Bluetooth
- Many fixes of CIFS and NFS clients
- Now system volume is not muted if HDMI CEC volume control is enabled
- Fixed HDR work with YCbCr444 8bit color mode
- Fixed reboot when playing some H.264 videos
- Fixed reboots when playing IPTV
- Fixed playback problems with some MPEG-1/2 IPTV channels
- Fixed screenshot when playing video
- Fixed Miracast work with some phones
- Sound changes:
- added ability to disable sound over HDMI
- added ability to disable sound over S/PDIF
- auto surround setting now detects only HDMI capabilities
- added S/PDIF surround setting for use formats supported by S/PDIF
- fixed none surround setting
- fixed DD+ audio passthrough over S/PDIF
- fixed DTS-HD RAW audio passthrough for some AV receivers
- fixed problem with no sound in some streaming services
- Magisk updated to version 25.2
- Some other changes for system stability
