The UGOOS brand announced the new UGOOS X4Q family of devices based on the S905X4 SoC with Android 11 OS. The devices are expected to appear in retail markets soon. However, we can already learn the specifications and features of the upcoming new UGOOS X4Q series of media players.
New UGOOS X4Q Family Overview Features
As you know, the UGOOS X4 family/series of media players has been present on the market for a long time. The housing and design draws from the UGOOS X3 family. However, the upcoming new UGOOS X4Q series is a completely different devices not only visually.
You can immediately see that the X4Q series has a different more square casing. Besides, the housing has a small size (88 * 88 * 22mm, 550g). Inside we find the well-known Amlogic S905X4 SoC (Quad-core Arm Cortex-A55 processor 2.0 GHz with ARM-G31 MP2 GPU) that supports up to 4K @60fps AV1, VP9, HEVC decoding with HDR10/10+ and HLG. Like the previous UGOOS’s family devices, the X4Q family also consists of 3 models (differing in the amount of DDR4 RAM and storage). And more specifically, X4Q Cube (2GB/16GB), X4Q Pro (4GB/32GB), and X4Q Plus with 4GB and 64GB eMMC storage. In addition, we have a TF Card slot up to 32GB.
The entire X4Q family supports 2T2R MiMO Dual Band 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1 with LE technology, and Gigabit Ethernet. All media players of the X4Q series runs on Android 11 OS and come with valuable UGOOS unique features available in the settings. In addition to the update characteristic for UGOOS, OTA, we will also find many settings, including:
- Samba server, NFS and CIFS client
- UGOOS remote server
- Controls Manager
- Extended USB ports control
- HDMI CEC extended control
- Extended screen and audio
- Power options
Despite its small size, the X4Q Android TV Boxes have the necessary I / O ports: USB Type-C for charging (DC 5V/2.5A), TF card slot, HDMI 2.0 Type-A, RJ45 LAN, USB 3.0, USB 2.0 (OTG), and SPDIF port.
It is also worth mentioning that the new UGOOS X4Q family comes with UGOOS Bluetooth remote (UR01-BLE). This Bluetooth voice remote control was also supplied with the UGOOS AM7 or UGOOS UT8.

In conclusion, X4Q Family is a big rework of the X4 Family with the following advantages:
