2024 Dynalink Google TV Box 4K Streaming Player Overview Features
It has been 4 years since Dynalink released the first Android TV Box (with Android TV OS). Although it was and probably still is popular, a new streamer had to appear eventually. As we reported at the beginning of April, the Dynalink brand decided to release a new streaming player with refreshed specifications and design.
First of all, the design and shape of the device have changed. The streamer is more rounded and measures 78.5 x 78.9 x 18.8mm. Unlike the previous model which was powered by the Amlogic S905Y2 SoC, the new Dynalink’s TV Box received the S905Y4 chipset. It’s a Quad-core 64-bit Arm Cortex-A35 processor with Mali-G31 MP2 GPU. Now Dynalink Google TV streaming player supports up to 4K 60fps AV1, H.265, VP9 decoding. Unlike the previous model which had 8GB eMMC storage, the new TV Box / TV Dongle has 16GB storage. We still have 2GB RAM, but now it is DDR4.
The Dynalink Android TV Box from 2020 was based on Android TV 10 OS (it received updates in subsequent years). Now the latest Dynalink Google TV Box comes with Google TV OS 12 (based on Android TV 12). Android TV or Google TV, it all depends on your preferences. Nevertheless, we have easy access to certified streams in 4K resolution such as Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, MAX, etc. In addition, the new Dynalink’s 4K streaming player supports HDR10/10+ technology and Dolby Audio.
In addition, the streamer supports 2 x 2 MIMO WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5.0. It has only two HDMI 2.1 and micro USB ports for power supply (5V/1A). To connect external flash memory you will have to use an OTG cable. Besides, the new 2024 Dynalink Google TV Box comes with “new” voice remote. Of course, the well-known G10 model that we have seen in other streaming devices. G10 is Google’s reference remote control, this time in white with characteristic 4 buttons for quick access to popular streams.
Is it worth buying the new Dynalink Google TV 4K streaming player?
This question is not easy, especially since Walmart recently released the Onn 4K Pro streaming device for $49.88, which has many more and more interesting functions. Dynalink Google TV Box is now available for $53.99 and offers much less, it also does not have Dolby Vision and Atmos. Otherwise identical in appearance and with almost the same specifications (it has 8GB of storage), the Onn 4K Streaming Box is sold for $19.88.
We hope that the price of the Dynalink Google TV Box will change soon, we’ll see. A plus is the frequent firmware updates released by Dynalink.
