Surely you could hear about the changes in streaming in the near future. Most popular streaming services (for example Netflix) have changed or are in the process of switching to AV1 decoding.  Google is requiring that all new Android TV devices launching after March 31, 2021, support AV1 video decoding.

Amlogic S905Y4 SoC with AV1 decoding

AV1 is a high-performance, royalty-free video codec that provides 20% improved compression efficiency over HEVC/VP9 and manages to save up to 30% in bandwidth for the same image quality.

About S905Y4 SoC we had the opportunity to write here. Amlogic S905Y4 chipset chooses low-power A35 CPU cores instead of keeping Cortex-A55 cores, which consumes up to 32% less battery power in achieving the same performance as Cortex-A55 cores. However, it does not mean that the maximum performance they can deliver is the same.
