The BuzzTV brand has announced another upcoming streaming player. This time it is a BuzzTV HD5 Android TV Dongle powered by S905Y4 SoC with AV1 decoding support. The HD5 streaming TV Dongle is another device from the new lineup for 2022 which is expected to appear on May 19th. We recently informed you about the upcoming streaming IPTV boxes from the BuzzTV A5 AI series (X5 64AI and X5 128AI).
BuzzTV HD5 Android TV Dongle Overview Features
BuzzTV already has HDMI TV sticks in its portfolio, including the Vidstick series (for example Vidstick MAX). The upcoming HD5, on the other hand, resembles a more typical Android TV Dongle, such as the MECOOL KD2. The new 4K streaming player has the shape of a hexagon, reminiscent of the honeycomb and BuzzTV’s design. Similar shape to Sunvell T95, but much smaller dimensions.
As we already mentioned, this is another IPTV streaming media player with 4K AV1 decoding that will appear in the BuzzTV portfolio. The heart of the device is the well-known Amlogic S905Y4 SoC. It is a 64-bit Quad-core ARM Cortex A35 CPU with ARM-G31 MP2 GPU. Additionally, supports HDR10/R10+, HLG HDR processing and runs on Android 11 OS. Plus, just like the BuzzTV X5, the new BuzzTV HD5 will also arrive with the IPTV BuzzTV5 app pre-installed.
BuzzTV HD5 Android TV Dongle has 4GB RAM DDR4 and 32GB eMMC storage. Additionally, it will support 2T / 2R Dual Band 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth, and Fast Ethernet. That’s right, the HD5 streaming dongle will have an RJ45 port. In addition, it also has one USB port and a micro USB for powering the device.
Like the BuzzTV’s X5 series, the HD5 IPTV streaming player will also ship with the latest BuzzTV BT-400 smart remote. The BuzzTV BT400 smart remote works with certain devices (X5 64 AI, X5 128 AI, and HD5 32) that have a pre-installed “Smart Remote Application” which will allow the user to perform certain operations and review information thru the app.
Availability and price
