Recently, Nubia presented its first gaming tablet. The device has excellent specifications and can attract the attention of not only gaming fans. However, whether and when Redmagic Gaming Tablet will go to global markets is unknown.
Redmagic Gaming Tablet Specification Details
Redmagic Gaming Tablet has a housing made almost entirely of metal, weighs only 613 g, and is only 6.5 mm thick. There is room for four speakers with DTS Ultrasound. The front panel is almost entirely filled with a 10-bit IPS screen with a diagonal of 12.1 inches and a resolution of 2500 x 1600, in a 16:10 aspect ratio.
The display refreshes the image at a frequency of 144 Hz and offers a touch sensitivity of 240 Hz. The maximum brightness reaches 600 nits, the screen also provides 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 space.
Inside the flat housing, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 works, which is helped by the ICE Cooling System. The manufacturer has prepared two memory versions (RAM LPDDR5 + UFS 3.1): 12 + 256 GB and 16 + 512 GB. Not only Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth v5.3 are responsible for connectivity – the tablet also has a place for a nano SIM connector and a 5G modem. The photo section is made up of a 16 Mpix front camera and a 13 Mpix rear camera.
The battery is promising – it has a capacity of 10,000 mAh and can be charged with a power of 80W. Everything is managed by Android 13 with the Redmagic OS 8.0 interface.
Redmagic Gaming Tablet has been equipped with software extensions that facilitate fun not only with mobile games. During the game, the image can be transferred to the TV screen, and thanks to X Gravity, which provides full support for computer controllers and keyboards, the tablet can be used as a gaming console or laptop. In other situations, a small, magnetic keyboard and a stylus will come in handy – thanks to them, the device will also work well.
Prices and availability
The Redmagic Gaming Tablet is presented in two versions: the first configuration includes 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, priced at 3,899 yuan ($538), while the second option offers 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, available for 4,599 yuan ($635). Pre-orders for the tablet will begin on July 5 at 16:30, and it will officially be released for sale on July 11 at 10:00. Additionally, customers have the option to purchase the RedMagic Smart Magnetic Keyboard separately for 599 yuan ($83), and the stylus is priced at 399 yuan ($55).
Furthermore, the brand has introduced a special edition of the tablet called the Redmagic Gaming Tablet Super Edition, inspired by Transformers, which is priced at 4,999 yuan ($690).
Besides, during the premiere, the manufacturer also presented a mechanical gaming keyboard RedMagic E-sports Keyboard, which can also be used in conjunction with the new tablet. Nubia has already started selling the RedMagic E-sports Mechanical Keyboard in China. The novelty costs $62. In addition, Nubia announced the arrival of the new Red Magic 8S Pro.
