Increasingly, you can find a thin mini PC with Windows 8.1. Today we present a mini PC called Vensmile W10. It’s interesting mini PC like the earlier Ainol mini PC, has a built-in battery – unfortunately with a smaller capacity. Another interesting new features like memory 64GB eMMC storage and ultra portable design with a thickness of only 7mm.
The Vensmile W10 is available from AliExpress for $149 plus the cost of shipping from China (and all the usual caveats that apply when ordering a device from China).
Let’s take a closer specification Vensmile W10. The little computer measures 5.9″ x 3.1″ x 0.39″ which makes it about the size of a large smartphone. But it doesn’t have a display and doesn’t run a mobile operating system.
Instead the computer comes with Windows 8.1 with Bing software, features an Intel Atom Z3735F Bay Trail processor, 2GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage (so far most mini PCs offered no more than 32GB). It has 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. There’s also a 2600 mAh battery (Ainol mini PC has a 7000 mAh) in the case.
Not only does this let you use the computer when it’s unplugged, but you can also use the Vensmile W10 as a portable power bank. Just plug in your phone or tablet with a USB cable to recharge the battery of your mobile device. The system has two full-sized USB 2.0 ports, a micro USB port (for power), a microSD card slot for removable storage, and a mini HDMI port for connecting a display. There’s also an audio jack for headphones or speakers.
