The Oranth manufacturer responsible for the Tanix brand recently unveiled its new Android TV Stick called Tanix TX9. Tanix TX9 is an HDMI TV Stick powered by Amlogic S905Y4 SoC that supports 4K AV1 video decoding. Besides, the TX9 streaming stick runs on Android 11 OS with Alice UX (UI home screen) and supports up to 4GB RAM, 64GB eMMC, WiFi 5, and HDR technology.
Tanix TX9 Android 11 TV Stick with S905Y4 SoC Details
Tanix TX9 is a typical HDMI TV Stick equipped with a male HDMI connector. Just insert it into the TV’s HDMI port and connect to WiFi. TX9 stick runs on Android 11 OS with a UI called Alice UX overlay known from other Tanix TV Boxes.
TX9 Android TV Stick has small dimensions of 108 x 31 x 14mm and weighs only 37g. In addition, TX9 supports dual-band 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth. In addition, the manufacturer informs that the TV Stick has a built-in Chromecast and supports DLNA file sharing.

As we mentioned, the heart of the TX9 Android TV Stick is the well-known Amlogic S905Y4 SoC. This Quad-Core chip incorporates ARM Cortex-A35 processors and an ARM Mali-G31 MP2 GPU clocked at 850 MHz. The SoC supports AV1 codec decoding, video output at resolutions of up to 4K@60fps, and includes HDR for enhanced video quality.
The device will be offered in a configuration of up to 4GB RAM and 64GB eMMC storage. Despite its small size, the Tanix TX9 offers the following ports:
- USB 2.0
- USB Type-C (5V/2A)
- IR port for IR extension cable
The TX9 stick is expected to come with IR remote control, HDMI extension cable and USB power cable. At the moment, it is not known when the device will be available to the end-user and for how much. As soon as the streaming stick is available for sale, we will let you know. More on the product page.
