First impressions, settings, overview of features
The Sunvell T95P as mentioned, has a small size (5.3 x 5.3 x 6.8 cm) and reminds a plug. The housing is made solidly and aesthetically, with good quality plastic. As mentioned at the beginning of T95P is equipped with a SoC from Amlogic called Amlogic S905X, which supports VP9-10 Profile-2 up to [email protected], H.265 HEVC [email protected] up to [email protected], H.264 AVC [email protected] up to [email protected] and more. T95P also runs on Android 6.0. On one side there is a micro SD card slot and USB2.0 port. On another side is an HDMI port and reset hole. Around the housing, there are holes for discharge of hot air. At the bottom 2 pins plug, socket compatible with plug type C.
Below is a typical remote control, the same as other TV Box from Sunvell.
Below we include the Sunvell T95P Android TV Box as a Plug pictures in combination with a matchbox and chewing gum so it was easier to see the size of T95P.
To start we had to use the adapter because we could not to plug TV Box, so the journey would have to be taken adapter. Photos below.
Suvell T95P has a well-known launcher, which could already see in other TV Box from Sunvell (T95Z Plus). When you start there is the status bar, you can turn it off. The device worked (typically) in the resolution of FHD 1920×1080 (1080p 60Hz) but you can also adjust the preferred resolution or set the auto switch. We feel that the device is slow and has unfortunately weakness involving the slow and unstable WiFi. Often the connection between the TV Box and the router is broken, and the speed Wi-Fi is for us unacceptable (Download – 1.27Mbps Upload – 2.57Mbps via speedtest.net app). It has a huge impact on quality display in Netflix. Perhaps this is a bug that needs repair. Miracast and DLNA works works slow. In addition to the remote control ( who also seen in other TV boxes, it works correctly, there were no problems) used a standard keyboard, mouse and Gamepad GameSir G3s (using a USB hub, because there is only one USB port). The T95P TV Box is another TV Box which has Kodi 16.1. Below a some screenshots.
On T95P TV Box games from Google Play are working properly. You can play without a problem just connect gamepad or keyboard. We used GameSir G3s. The combination of T95P with gamepads is great fun. Beach Buggy Racing works without problem, even with high resolution works trouble free.
Operating system and components
The Sunvell T95P runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow, namely version 6.0.1 and the Linux Kernel version 3.14.29. T95P comes with firmware build number TP0005. No new firmware. OTA update is not working. TV Box is equipped in the recently very popular a SoC Amlogic S905X quad core ARM Cortex-A53 @ up to 2GHz processor and GPU penta core Mali-450, CPU speed between 100 MHz and 2.02 GHz. On the following screens you can see exactly the components used and their specification (Information taken from the CPU-Z app). The device is detected as MBOX (p212) and board p212. Below screenchots.
After using the DRM info (app) we know that T95P TV Box supports Google Widevine Moudlar DRM, but unfortunately does not support Microsoft Playready DRM, Marlin DRM and Verimatrix VCAS.
Performance tests and benchmarks
For testing I use the AnTuTu Video Tester 3.0 app and AnTuTu Benchmark 6.1.4. The result 898. Also worthy of note is that T95P TV Box did not have not supported codecs.
Video playback by Kodi Jarvis 16.1 is working well. MX Player runs smoothly and stable. The T95P without problem seems plays movies with the resolution of 480p,720p and 1080p (24fps, 30fps, 60fps) and also 4K (60fps) with various codecs video such as H.264,H.265, MPEG2, MPEG4, RMVB and audio – DTS and AC3. Dolby Digital 5.1 passthrough worked fine via HDMI. Also I tested several video formats – AVI, MKV, MP4 (typical formats in which it holds the majority of movies), ISO and also videos was played fine. The tested TV Box plays video files in 4K (also 60fps) almost without any major problems. The following table of video samples tested for Kodi. As we said earlier a problem with WiFi also had an impact on Youtube playback, video playback in 480p quality. Also, we tried to play VP9 4K video runs smoothly.

Conclusions
Sunvell T95P is a TV box which looks like as a plug. Is a mobile … but as you have seen, you have to travel besides a small TV Box take adapter (luggage growing :)). Unfortunately, in the current firmware big minus for the problem with WiFi which is slow and acceptable at the present time, a great influence playback of Netflix and Youtube. TV Box is running slow. In contrast, a big plus for video playback, even in 4K. T95P copes quite well with movies in 4K. If this TV Box you want to take just to play movies on the go on a trip, etc. and you will not use the WiFi, it’s OK, but if you want to buy it just so we suggest that you wait for the corrected firmware or buy another TV Box.
