The SDMC DV9187 is a new certified 4K Android TV streaming Box supporting 4K AV1 decoding. SDMC manufacturer recently unveiled the new DV9187 OTT streamer for commercial solutions and video streaming projects. This time around, the new S905Y4 Android TV streamer is available in a set-top box format, unlike the previous SDMC DV6075Z HDMI Stick.
The SDMC (Shenzhen SDMC Technology Co., Ltd.) has a large number of 4K streaming devices in its portfolio, also powered by the latest S905Y4 SoC. The SDMC DV9187 is an example of another S905Y4 Android TV streamer. As a reminder, the Amlogic S905Y4 chipset is a Quad-core 64-bit Arm Cortex-A35 processor with Mali-G31 MP2 GPU. Android TV streaming player based on this chipset supports 4K @60fps AV1, H.265, VP9 decoding. Besides, the device supports HDR10, HDR10+, HLG, and Dolby Vision. Some features are optional.

SDMC DV9187 S905Y4 streaming box like other streaming players offered by SDMC, they are only available to distributors, operators, or other commercial projects. However, it is possible that the DV817 will soon be offered for individual users. As was the case with the SDMC DV6071Z, offered on Amazon as Qiyuan 4K Certified Android TV Dongle.
