Recently, the SDMC company showed a new Android TV Streaming stick called DV6075Z. SDMC DV6075Z is powered by Amlogic S905Y4 SoC with AV1 decoding support. Unfortunately, you cannot buy a new DV6075Z TV Stick directly, but it is possible that it will enter our home with the services of some telecom or cable operator. Matter of time.
The SDMC (Shenzhen SDMC Technology Co., Ltd.) company has a large portfolio of 4K streaming devices with different processors. However, the latest devices based on the S905Y4 SoC are a large number in the portfolio. The Amlogic S905Y4 chipset and derivatives (S905X4 SoC) are currently hot thanks to the AV1 codec support and audio-video features.
AV1 is a high-performance, royalty-free video codec that provides 20% improved compression efficiency over HEVC/VP9 and manages to save up to 30% in bandwidth for the same image quality.
In addition to the mentioned 4K AV1 decoding, the SDMC DV6075Z streaming stick offers the same functionalities that we could already see in Realme Google TV Stick and Xiaomi TV Stick 4K.
