Another day and another mini PC. Very specific mini PC, because it is equipped with a Dual Os (Windows 8.1 and Android 4.4) from Rikomagic.
Recently we reported on a mini PC Rikomagic MK35 and today we have the pleasure to introduce a new model called Rikomagic MK36 with Dual Os ( Rikomagic name change – the device will be called no more MK35 but Rikomagic MK36).
Rikomagic MK36 is in fact equipped with a CPU quad-core 64-bit Intel Atom Bay Trail Z3736F from 1.33GHz (up to 2.16GHz), but without doubt the most reactive of the chip Intel Atom Z3735F from 1.33GHz (up to 1.83GHz) originally planned. Compared to the old solution, the new processor is a bit ‘more recent (Q2 2014), costs $ 20 ($ 17 against the old SoC) and can count on a few more MHz for the graphics chip. Basically, however, are two CPU very similar and their differences will be visible only “fully loaded” .
The other change concerns the BIOS, which is compatible with a system dual OS Windows 8.1 with Bing (the license is already included) and Android 4.4 KitKat , which will allow you to switch from one operating system to another in a few seconds. Rikomagic MK36 becomes the perfect substitute for a desktop PC to perform basic daily tasks such as web browsing, document creation Office, watching movies, games and more, but also a mini PC for entertainment, leveraging the thousands of Android applications. You can simply connect it to a TV or monitor via HDMI, add a keyboard and mouse, to have a workstation or complete multimedia.
The rest of the kit hardware remains unchanged with 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage expandable eMMC, WiFi 802.11n with internal antenna and Bluetooth 4.0. As for connectivity, we find once again four USB 2.0, a 10/100 Ethernet port, a microSD card reader, HDMI 1.4, 3.5 mm audio jack and a power connector 12V / 2A. Of course, the design does not change: the new Rikomagic MK36 (old MK35) has the same chassis (just 6 x 5 cm) with typical ventilation grills on the cover, to remove the internal heat faster.
