Recently, the Realme brand has launched a new Realme Smart TV Stick on its website. This is a new Full HD / 1080p streaming stick. In addition, the new Realme Smart TV Stick HD runs on Android TV 11 and supports HDR10+ encoding. What else in the new Realme HD Streaming Stick?
As you know, Realme 4K TV Stick with Google TV has been available on the market for a long time. The streaming stick version with 4K support appealed to users who prefer streaming content in 4K resolution.
However, what about users for whom streaming entertainment in the 1080p version is sufficient? Realme’s newest Smart TV Stick 1080p comes with a solution. Interestingly, Xiaomi did the opposite. First, it introduced the HD streaming stick, then a longer break and recently the Xiaomi TV Stick 4K version has been available for sale.
[UPDATE 05/19/2022] Realme FHD TV Stick is now available on Aliexpress for $43 (1080P version without charger), with an EU charger for $45.18, and up. In addition, Realme’s HD TV Stick can also be found in the Banggood store for $51.99.
Realme Smart TV Stick Specifications and Features
What exactly does Realme HD Streaming Stick offer? When it comes to design (device and voice remote control) nothing has changed here. However, the main difference is in the specifications.
Realme Smart TV Stick is powered by a quad-core ARM Cortex-A35 CPU. It’s hard to say for a moment what kind of chipset it is. We speculate that this is the new Amlogic S805X2 SoC, which has the features of the newest Realme’s 1080p TV Stick. Interestingly, the S805X2 chipset, like the Amlogic S905Y4 SoC (located on the Realme 4K TV Stick), also supports AV1 decoding. However, only up to 1080p @60Hz with HDR / HDR10+ support. The use of a chip with AV1 support of the codec in which currently most streaming content is handled would seem justified.

Inside the Realme HD Streaming Stick you will find only 1GB RAM DDR4 (4K version has 2GB) and 8GB eMMC storage. In addition, the device supports 802.11ac WiFi 5 and Bluetooth and is equipped with a male plug-in HDMI 1.4 connector. Unlike Realme 4K Google TV Stick, the newest Realme TV Stick HD runs on Android TV 11 OS. Chromecast Built-in, and Google Assistant.
Realme HD Streaming Stick Price and Availability
We have to wait a while longer for the global version to be available. As was the case with the previous Realme’s streaming stick, first India. The realme Smart TV Stick is priced at ₹2,999 in India. That means there is ₹1,000 cheaper than the realme 4K Smart Google TV Stick, which retails at ₹3,999.
The Realme Streaming Stick 1080p will go on sale starting at 12 PM on April 13. It can be purchased from realme.com, Flipkart, and partner retail stores across the country.
