Yesterday, Amazon introduced the new and powerful flagship Fire TV Stick 4K MAX streaming stick. The successor to the popular Fire TV Stick 4K offers greater performance, more memory, Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, but also a higher price.

Amazon’s New Fire TV Stick 4K Max Overview Features

The new Amazon’s Fire TV Stick Max is powered by MediaTek MT8696 quad-core processor clocking in at 1.8GHz. Additionally, SoC also integrates Imagination Technologies PowerVR GE9215 GPU clocking in at 750 MHz. In the new Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max 4K streaming device we find more memory, 2GB RAM and 8GB eMMC storage.


The Amazon Stick 4K Max is the first 4K streaming stick to support 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. Besides, it offers support for Dolby Vision, HDR 10, HDR10+, HLG, H.265, H.264, VP9, AV1 decoding.

That’s right, it’s another streaming device that offers 4K AV1 decoding, which is externally required for streaming by many streaming providers.

It is also worth mentioning that “Max” Fire TV Stick 4K supports Dolby Atmos, 7.1 surround sound which is available in Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+.
