The following video from our YouTube channel where you can find more details OUKU S320 Mini Projector and bundled accessories.

First impressions, settings, overview of features

OUKU S320 as we mentioned it is a budget mini LCD projector, but the plastic from which the housing is made is of good quality. The projector makes a good impression, it has a small size, it can easily be moved even in a backpack, the projector is not heavy. The OUKU S320 portable projector is equipped with various ports. On the back of the housing we can find: infrared port, Audio output / Headset, AV port (3 in 1), USB 2.0 port, TF card slot, HDMI port, VGA port and manual keystone (trapezoid) correction.

On the front, (as always) there is a lens with manual focus correction. On the top cover of the projector there are function buttons: Power ON / OFF button, Source button, Right / Left / UP / OK / Down / Menu button and LED diode. On one of the sides of the projector, there are spaces for discharging warm air and ventilation and DC jack.

At the bottom we can also find ventilation holes and a non-useful detachable stand, it is not stable. After larger unscrewing, the projector tilts. The remote control attached is similar to the remote controls known to us from the TV Boxes. Remote control works well.

The projector menu has been divided into four main settings: Picture, Sound, Time and Option. Depending on the choice in each of the main settings, we can set more detailed parameters, of course, the most settings are for Picture.

By pressing the S button on the projector or Source on the remote control we can choose the source signal between PC/VGA, HDMI, AV, USB, TF Card.

We used all sources for testing, the most of which we used, of course, the connection projector + TV Box. As the TV Box, we used the most popular Xiaomi Mi Box (connection via HDMI).

Unfortunately, we do not recommend using USB and TF card sources. Despite the fact that the OUKU S320 projector gives this possibility and displaying photos, txt is not a problem for it, in the case of video playback, it is not good. Despite a large number of supported video formats, we usually received a window with the information “unsupported file”, or the video was without sound. The projector plays music in the following formats: wma, MP3, M4A. As you can not guess, the S320 mini projector has a built-in speaker. The loudspeaker is quite loud (80W), it does not sound too clean, we recommend using an external speaker with AUX IN port. If we are at the sound, we must say that the projector fan is quite loud, you can see after watching the sample video (below). If you do not use headphones or external speakers, the sound of the fan may be tiring.

The OUKU S320 Portable projector has a brightness of 1,800 lumens, which is not sufficient in daylight. However, at night or in semi-darkness you can easily enjoy the brightness of the displayed picture, you can also use the settings “Picture” for better quality. The projector displays the picture in 16: 9 and 4: 3 aspect ratio. Projector supports the resolution of 1920×1080 (1080p), with native projector resolution 800×600 / SVGA. A little bit, but enough if you do not have high requirements. Below are the pictures of the displayed image during the day and at night. Above the video sample.

If you have a limited budget and are looking for a mini projector for home cinema, with good brightness (in full darkness) you want to use in conjunction with a PC or TV Box, you should consider buying the OUKU S320 Mini Projector. Due to the noise of the fan and problems with playback of files (video) from USB and TF card, we do not recommend for people who guided by these factors when buying a projector.
