Nokia Streaming Stick 800 Overview Features
The new Nokia streaming player in the HDMI Stick format has a (typically) small size. It measures 34.4 x 12 x 93mm and weighs 4g. The principle of operation is very simple. Plug the stick directly into the HDMI port of a TV and you can use it to stream content from Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, YouTube, and other sources. Nokia’s stick 800 only offers Full HD display resolution (1080p @60fps). It is intended for users who do not need to stream 4K video playback. However, the media player is equipped with Amlogic S805X2 SoC supporting the currently popular AV1 decoding. The same chipset can be found in the latest Google Chromecast HD, MECOOL KD5, or Homatics HD Stick.
Besides, the streaming stick (again typical) has 1GB of DDR4 RAM and 8GB of eMMC storage. In addition, it supports 802.11ac WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0. The streaming media player is powered via the Micro USB port (5V / 1A). Nokia FHD streamer runs on Google Certified Android TV 11 OS with Chromecast and Google Assistant built-in. As a certified device, Nokia FHD Stick allows you to stream all available services: Netflix, Disney +, Prime Video, HBO MAX, etc. in Full HD resolution. In addition, Nokia 1080p Android TV Stick supports HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG technology.
It’s also worth mentioning that the streaming stick comes with a Nokia Bluetooth voice remote. It does not look like the well-known G10 voice remote, but also has dedicated buttons.
