Nokia Media Streamer Only Available in India (via Flipkart)


Nokia a brand known for many years for the production of mobile phones/smartphones, recently with Smart TVs, and now it has released its Nokia Media Streamer.

As you can see in the picture above, the streaming device from Nokia resembles the Xiaomi Mi Box but is much smaller. When it comes to functionalities, Nokia Media Streamer has all the well-known features that can be found in this type of certified devices based on Android TV 9.0 OS.

The streaming device from Nokia is probably powered by Amlogic S805Y or similar (supports 1920*1080 @60fps) and is equipped with 1GB RAM end 8GB eMMC storage. As we mentioned, the device runs on Android TV 9.0 and supports voice command via Google Assistant, Chromecast, and has preinstalled Netflix, Zee5, Youtube, Google Music, Google Play Store, Google apps. The device also supports Disney+, Prime Video, and other popular streaming services.

Voice commands are executed via the included Bluetooth remote controller. As you have noticed, it also has 2 dedicated buttons (similar to the Xiaomi Mi TV Stick) for Netflix and ZEE5.

Availability and price

The Nokia Media Streamer (SELFR2YR3EBNZVHE) can be purchased at the Flipkart online store from August 28. Its price is Rs 3,499, at about 39.36 euros.

Unfortunately, the device will only be available in India, which is a pity. It is difficult to say whether there will be a global version, but it would be a great alternative to Mi TV Stick, Fire TV Stick, and other popular streaming devices.
