Mixtile has released the Mixtile Blade 3 board, serving as a powerful standalone SBC but also offering a unique feature that allows users to double their processing capabilities and ports by simply connecting two Blade 3 boards through PCIe-to-PCIe cables. This daisy-chain clustering approach was hailed as more economical, user-friendly, and faster than alternative methods. More precisely, what we mean here is the Mixtile Cluster Box solution.
Mixtile Cluster Box Details
Mixtile takes it further by introducing the Mixtile Cluster Box, an enclosure specially designed to accommodate a four-node cluster of Mixtile Blade 3 boards. This innovation promises to deliver higher computing power, faster network speeds, and expanded storage capacity, catering to a wide range of applications from small businesses to edge computing. It is an ideal High-Performance Computing (HPC) cluster solution with ultra-low power consumption.
At the heart of the Mixtile Cluster Box lies a state-of-the-art backplane board driven by the ASM2824 PCIe Packet Switch chip. This technology ensures flawless connectivity among the Blade 3 boards, featuring four downstream ports configured as PCIe 3.0 ×4. You can trust the backplane’s robust performance and reliability for continuous data transmission.
