The MINISFORUM UM790 Pro is another Mini PC from the Venus series. Announced last week with the UM780 Pro, it was the first to go on sale. The UM790 Pro Mini PC packs the AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS “Phoenix” processor featuring 8 Zen 4 CPU cores and Radeon 780M integrated graphics based on RDNA 3 architecture. Besides, it comes with a new Cold Wave 2.0 cooling system, up to 64GB RAM DDR5, WiFi 6E (via Intel Killer AX1675 wireless card), two full-speed PD-powered USB4 ports, and more. MINISFORUM UM790 Pro Venus Series Mini PC Features
The UM790 Pro is a mini desktop computer measuring 130 x 126 x 52mm and has a metal body with a volume of 0.8 liters. You can easily put it in your backpack, it doesn’t take up much space on your desk, and you can hide it behind a monitor because it supports VESA mounting. The heart of this venus series Mini PC is the aforementioned AMD’s Ryzen 9 7940HS processor, which is a 35-54 watt chip with 8 cores, 16 threads, support for speeds up to 5.2 GHz, 8MP of L2 cache, 16MB of L3 cache, and 12 RDNA 3 compute units.
