The MINISFORUM EM680 is a 4K palm-sized Mini PC from MINISFORUM’s Mercury series. Even though it’s an ultra-small 1/4 liter Mini PC that you can stash in your pocket, it’s not lacking in power. The UM680 Mini PC is powered by the AMD Ryzen 7 6800U 8-core processor. In addition, it comes with up to 32GB RAM DDR5 (on board), supports M.2 PCIe4.0 SSD up to 2TB, and a triple 4K@60Hz display. The MINISFORUM EM680 Ryzen 7 6800U Mini PC is available in three configurations and will be shipping at the end of June. Due to the fact that the RAM is soldered to the board, you must decide before buying whether you need 16GB or 32GB of RAM LPDDR5.

MINISFORUM EM680 Mercury Series Mini PC Overview Features
Mercury series EM680 it’s probably the smallest, pocket-sized Mini PC in the MINISFORUM Mini PC. Measures only 80×80×43mm and has a weight of only 238g. Despite its ultra-small size, the heart of the MINISFORUM EM680 is the AMD Ryzen 7 6800U processor featuring 8 cores and 16 threads, a 6nm FP7 package, and a clock speed of 3.7GHz with a maximum clock speed of 4.7GHz. It is equipped with a 4 MB L2 Cache, and 16 MB L3 Cache. The TDP of the APU is specified at 15 – 28 Watts (default). The mini PC also boasts an AMD Radeon 680M graphics card with 12 graphics core counts and a graphics frequency of 2200MHz.
Compared to the similar Ryze 7 6800H found in much larger Mini PCs (for example GMK NucBox K1, Beelink SER6 Pro), the R7 6800U offers a lower base clock speed and a lower TDP. However, it is just as powerful and efficient as the R7 6800H processor.
In addition, the EM680 comes with up to 32GB RAM LPDDR5 (Dual channel, 6400MHz, soldered). Furthermore, MINISFORUM has incorporated the Cold Wave 2.0 cooling system into the MINISOFRUM EM680 Mini PC, which features liquid cooling and an active SSD heat sink. By the way, the Cold Wave 2.0 cooling system can also be found in the UM790 Pro Mini PC.

Besides, the EM680 supports 802.11ax WiFi 6E, BlueTooth 5.3. Interestingly, the Mini PC does not have RJ45. Communication is carried out only wirelessly. As we mentioned at the beginning, the EM860 as a palm-sized Mini PC supports up to triple 4K@60Hz display (via HDMI 2.1 and 2x USB4). Besides, if you prefer you can connect two monitors up to 8K@60Hz via 2x USB4.
