Gigabyte is to offer a wide range of miniature computers BRIX, but so far have been rather weaker structures for everyday applications and multimedia playback. The manufacturer, however, went a step further and at CeBIT 2016 presented a model BRIX Skylake UHD – it is a bit more structure. The new design for the BRIX mini PC range takes the form of an aluminium cube with one of the corners sliced off providing access to USB ports, Ethernet and more and is slightly larger than previous BRIX systems offering a 2.6ltr enclosure that houses to motherboards.
Gigabyte Brix Skylake UHD mini PC is only 4.3″ x 4.3″ wide and deep, it’s about 8.6″ tall. On the main panel is a RJ45 network connector, HDMI, DisplayPort and mini-DisplayPort, three USB 3.0 ports, one USB 3.1 type A, one USB 3.1 type C, as well as audio input and output. The computer features an Intel Skylake processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M graphics, 3 PCI Express M.2 slots for wireless and storage cards, two memory slots for DDR4, 2133 mHz memory.
The BRIX Skylake UHD therefore allows display image quality 4K, as well as comfortably play newer games (already at a slightly lower quality). The presented version is still in the engineering phase, so finally may be a little different.
