According to the announcement, DELL has officially announced a concrete answer to the Surface Pro 4, in the form of a XPS 12 2-in-1 tablet with 12.5-inch 4K screen, Windows 10, a low-power Intel Core M Skylake processor and a detachable keyboard dock that lets you use the notebook like a laptop.
The heart of the Dell XPS 12 tablet is a dual-core Intel Core M5-6Y54 (Skylake) clocked to 2.7 GHz and Intel HD Graphics 515, which is supported by 8GB of RAM type LPDDR3. The image is displayed on a 12.5–inch matrix and a choice of two resolutions: Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) or UHD (3840 x 2160 pixels – $1,299). Data can be stored on the SSD with a capacity of 128 or 256 GB.
DELL XPS 12 also has a 8MP rear camera, and a 5MP front camera, 2 Thunderbolt connector 3 (compatible with USB type C), the battery having to provide up to 10 hours, an audio jack and memory card reader. The device has dimensions of 8 x 291 x 193mm (16-25 x 291 x 198mm with a docking station with a keyboard).
The Dell XPS 12 will be available starting November 5th for $999 and up.
