What is Google TV?
Google TV is a new interface based on Android TV, and is a completely redesigned home screen, providing a better match of content and recommendations, as well as the way it is displayed and delivered. We still have easy access to Google Assistant just like the previous one on Android TV.
The display from various streaming sources and applications, Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, Youtube, or other services looks very nice. No switching apps feature we could see in TiVO Stream 4K before.
Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K vs. Google Chromecast with Google TV: Which should you buy?
Surely many of you are asking yourselves this question. Both devices share the same essential features, although in our opinion the Google TV interface and likely Google Stadia support in the near future works in favor of Chromecast with Google TV.
However, when buying, you should be guided by the ecosystem, if you have more smart devices from Amazon, Fire TV Stick 4K seems to be a more appropriate solution. When it comes to price, both devices are at the same price level, so are other competitors such as the TiVo Stream 4K.
