Beelink GKmini Review: First impressions, settings, an overview of features
The GKmini is not a palm-sized Mini PC like the Chuwi LarkBox Pro. However, it also has a compact size (measures 115mm x 102mm x 43mm). Like the other TV Boxes and Mini PC from Beelink, the Beelink GKmini is another well-made Mini PC. On the front panel, we find a Power button, CLR CMOS hole, 2x USB 3.0, and 3.5mm jack port. On the rear panel: Power adapter, 1x RJ45 Gigabit LAN, 2x HDMI 2.0, and 2x USB 3.0, and locking. On the sides, there holes for heat dissipation and ventilation (the device has active cooling via fan). However, the TF card slot is missing.
On the bottom, in four feet, there are screws to unscrew the cover and place 2.5 SATA HDD, M.2 SSD, or RAM. We’ve installed ADATA 2.5″ SATA 6GB/s 120GB SSD.
Beelink GKmini Mini PC Overview
The GKmini Mini PC also comes with Windows 10 Pro Edition (activated). The device downloads Microsoft Updates easily and correctly. During the tests, Windows 10 Pro runs without problems and stable.
Besides, Mini PC supports dual display 4K@60Hz. There were no problems with the Wifi and Ethernet connection to the Internet. We launched a few simple games such as Beach Buggy Racing, Asphalt 9: Legends, and Code of War. Games work without a problem, and the running fan is not very noisy. As with the Sei10, the Beelink GKmini is not a gaming Mini PC, but it allows for entertainment.
When you enter the BIOS, you can see that the device has BIOS Version GB6 0.03 (2.19.1268, UEFI 2.7, PI 1.6). To perform video tests we also installed version Kodi 19 “Matrix”. Below you will find many screenshots, we encourage you to browse.
