The Amlogic A311D can be seen in the new Khadas VIM3 SBC (Single Borad Computer). Initially, the Khadas brand announced the equipping of its development board with the Amlogic S922X, but finally the Amlogic A311D SoC was used.
As it turns out, the Amlogic S922X-B SoC (the faster version of S922X) has the same features as the A311D SoC. In addition, both processors could also decode VP9 8K at 30 fps.
Some time ago, CNXSoft compared features and benchmarks of several SoCs (A311D vs RK3399 and A311D vs S912), which are and have been considered the strongest (given the time of their occurrence). Based on great comparisons, we collected the data together and prepared a comparison of all powerful SoCs
Amlogic A311D / S922X-B vs Rockchip RK3399 & Amlogic S912 Comparison
Amlogic A311D & S922X-B | Rockchip RK3399 | Amlogic S912 | |

In contrast to the A311D SoC, S912 SoC and RK3399 SoC, do not support the NPU (Neural Processing Unit), but Rockhip RK3399 Pro SoC version has this feature.
However, considering the GPU and multimedia features, Amlogic SoCs are more dedicated to TV Boxes. Amlogic processors have better multi-media functions such as HDR (High-Dynamic Range) support, and overall better audio support & video playback compared to the Rockchip processors.
Finally, everything can be seen in the benchmarks. We will take general points from CNXsoft benchmarks and display them in diagrams. Below are charts for several benchmarks: Antutu 7.x, PCMARK 10, and 3DMark – Sling Shot Extreme.
Summary
As you can see from the charts, currently the most powerful SoCs are from Amlogic. Both chipsets, A311D SoC and S922X-B SoC are unmatched in terms of features, functionality and benchmark results. By buying Khadas VIM3 powered by Amlogic A311D SoC, and installing Android OS you can be sure that you will be the owner of the currently most powerful Android TV Box. In contrast, Amlogic S922X-B SoC can be found in Beelink GT-King and UGOOS AM6.
